Edgar is a 3D-printed, collapsible stool designed for elegant, low-footprint seating in urban environments. It stores flat inside a custom cardstock sleeve, reading visually as a book on a shelf when not in use. It assembles without tools or hardware, using refined interlocking joints to support more than 200lb. Its timeless silhouette allow it to integrate seamlessly into a range of lounge and reading environments. The strong symmetry and confident stance quietly draw attention, offering visual presence without overwhelming the space. Edgar was selected as a finalist at the 2024 IDSA / Makelab Layer Logic competition and featured at a display at the 2024 IDC Conference in Austin Texas.
